Er, Um, What?

There was a reason for writing this, but I can’t quite recall what it was right at the present moment. It’s been a busy day.

I could point out, though, that it’s Brunel’s Two Hundred and Second birthday tomorrow, so you can all either go and stand on the tracks (please make sure there isn’t a train coming first) and see if the sun really does shine straight through the tunnel at Box Hill at dawn (you’ll need to stand at the western end), or failing that (and I’m not sure that safety would be best served by the experiment) you could find a second hand copy of Gurr and Byrne’s Brunel: A Graphic Biography wherein you’ll discover other interesting facts about the little engineer with the cigar.

I may do just that, and while I’m there I might figure out what it was I was going to write here in the first place.

  1. Donkey does that. Donkey goes and stands in the middle of field, and forgets why Donkey there. Donkey stands there all day sometimes.
