Bit busy sorting out the chapter I was avoiding writing last night, so all I’ve got time for is a quick sentence of the day.

Well, I say quick. If [1] Baldur’s reading this maybe he can tell me what I’m talking about, because I’m damned if I know.

Pointing out that while being inherently anti-illusionist, new media forms have, thus far, had no need of the radicalism employed by Brecht et al, Manovich suggests that the temporal shifts visible within human-computer interaction are actually resonant as a ‘new kind of suturing mechanism’, one that deems it necessary to interpolate the user within the text by means of the active participation required in order to complete the interactive process.
